Privacy

BuildStage processes only the data necessary to provide, secure and bill the service, together with information users deliberately provide or connect.

Data controller: Benoit Sartre, Entrepreneur individuel, 66 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France — contact@saubentech.com.

What is processed:

  • Account data: username, email address and a hashed password, used for authentication.
  • Content you deliberately publish: your profile, projects, metrics you choose to make public, opportunities and feedback. Optional public contact details are shown only if you add them — your login email is never published.
  • Pro billing: payments are processed by Stripe. BuildStage stores only your plan and payment references — never card numbers.
  • Optional integrations you connect (Stripe restricted keys, database connections, LLM provider keys) are stored encrypted and used solely to sync the metrics you requested.
  • Server logs kept for security and operation of the service.
  • Public page view counts are measured server-side without cookies, using short-lived pseudonymised technical identifiers.

Purposes and legal bases: providing user accounts and BuildStage functionality, operating the integrations you request, and processing Pro payments (performance of the contract); basic security and operation of the service (legitimate interests); and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

Recipients: only service providers genuinely required to operate BuildStage: Stripe (payment processing for BuildStage Pro) and Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting). Data is not sold or shared for advertising.

Retention: data is retained for as long as necessary to operate the account and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Your rights: you may exercise your applicable GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, and others) by writing to contact@saubentech.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in France the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies: BuildStage uses only strictly necessary cookies and storage required for authentication, security and preferences — a session cookie and a language preference cookie. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, so no consent banner is required.

Terms — Professional users only

  1. Professional use only. BuildStage is intended exclusively for users acting for professional or business purposes and is not offered to consumers.
  2. Service. BuildStage allows professionals and builders to publish software projects, metrics and opportunities and to use the platform functionality as currently offered.
  3. Accounts. You are responsible for your account, its credentials, and the information you publish or connect through it.
  4. User content. You retain responsibility for the content and data you submit and must have the right to publish it.
  5. Free plan. Free functionality is provided according to the current product offering.
  6. Pro Lifetime. BuildStage Pro Lifetime costs $49 USD as a one-time payment. There is no subscription. Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated at checkout.
  7. Lifetime. The purchase grants the account access to the Pro entitlement associated with the purchase for the lifetime of the BuildStage service. Future separate products may be charged separately.
  8. Payment. Payments are processed through Stripe.
  9. Payment terms. Payment is due in full immediately at the time of purchase; access to Pro is granted only after confirmed payment, so no credit terms apply. Where late-payment rules for business transactions nonetheless apply, late payments incur penalties at the rate provided by article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code and the statutory €40 recovery indemnity.
  10. Availability. BuildStage may evolve, change or discontinue functionality, subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
  11. Liability. To the extent permitted by applicable law, BuildStage's total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the service, and BuildStage is not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits or lost data.
  12. Applicable law. These terms are governed by French law; disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, subject to any mandatory rules.
